  • The Boulders - home to a colony of Jackass penguins.
  • Kalk Bay - where local fishermen offload and sell their fresh catch off the boats.
  • Mineral World Scratch Patch - visit the world's largest gemstone tumbling factory, where you can hunt for inexpensive polished stones in a "scratch patch".
  • Simonstown – an historic town with a trendy Waterfront.
  • Muizenberg - with one of the longest beaches in the world, and a popular place for learner surfers and boogie boarders.

  • Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens - set on the lower slopes of Table Mountain, this is one of the world's greatest botanical gardens with over 5000 species of Cape indigenous vegetation (fynbos).
  • Cavendish Mall - the perfect excuse to go shopping.

30 minutes to:

  • V&A Waterfront, with designer shops, restaurants and many tourist activities.
  • Robben Island – Nelson Mandela’s prison for more than 20 years, this international site can be visited by ferries leaving regularly from the V&A Waterfront.
  • Table Mountain - the city’s most famous and popular landmark. Reach the summit by cable car or hiking trails and enjoy spectacular views of the Peninsula.
